An integrated digital Christmas campaign that sleighed

We created and delivered a multi-channel Christmas strategy with all the trimmings to secure HUGE pre-booked revenue.

We began the project by using insights from our 2017 Christmas campaign with Revolution to inform our new strategy across web, social and offline to secure pre-booked revenue. And raise the bar again, of course. We found that by starting both corporate and consumer campaign activity earlier in the year we could get a head start and maximise pre-booked revenue and bookings. And we could hit our target of increasing both by 10% YoY.

SEO all wrapped up

We restructured and redesigned all the Christmas web pages, updating content, targeting keywords and optimising page structure for online conversions (no easy feat with over 1,000 pages!). We carried out a comprehensive review of all on-page and off-page SEO using Google Search Console and Screaming Frog. Then, we implemented updates to enhance both the global and local bar pages for search and maximise page traffic. As a brand that operated at both a national and local level, this was essential.

Christmas come early

Our PPC and remarketing strategy focused on Revolution's five key UK cities for potential revenue via GEO targeting. We then targeted users searching for specific group sizes to identify higher-value bookers. We ran a festive social media campaign to increase awareness, engagement and drive bookings. A.k.a bringing the Revolution Christmas party spirit to the people.

A Facebook Live campaign, Facebook Polls and competitions, drove audience engagement with exciting, ephemeral content. Interactive visual content, including branded videos and GIFs, also captured the attention of audiences, creating a real buzz online.

Next up, the Revolution Blog

Already renowned for its irreverent tone of voice and shareable content. We populated it with fun, festive content with a clear CTA to drive bookings. And we distributed this content across Facebook and Twitter as well as on Outbrain to reach both existing and new audiences. The result? A multi-channel Christmas campaign delivering results that knocked Revolution's Christmas stockings right off.
